The operator of yoga2go, Terri Damiani, has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 15 years; from the very first class it was love. Extensively trained, with a wide variety of experience, Terri is a life-long student of timeless wisdom from all modalities.  She is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher, completing her IJ2 level of international certification. Forever a student, Terri continues to study with many inspiring teachers including the Iyengars at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India. Her curosity of movement continues to bring her to the mat to explore.

Humour is valued in Terri’s life and classes.  Using clear instruction she creates an atmosphere for growth and advancement in a fun and supportive environment.

“I have a special interest in seniors and yoga and have witnessed tremendous improvement in the quality of life of seniors who engage in a regular yoga practice.”  Terri has worked with the Kinesiology Department at UBC and the Heart and Stroke Foundation Templeton Branch providing yoga services to older adults.  Presently, she instructs a bi-weekly public yoga class for older adults at the lovely Creekside Community Centre.

yoga2go believes it is important to be involved in the community.  Previously she volunteered with Friends for Life, a non-profit organization that assists clients with potentially fatal disease explore alternative methods of healing. For several years yoga2go partnered with BC Cancer and the Underwear Affair supporting their fund raising efforts. Terri currently sits on the Board of directors for local non-profit BKS Iyengar Yoga Associaiton of Vancouver.
